Mrs. Umakan Suntharat, Assistant Director of the Economic and Business Forecasting Center, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, talked about the survey results on spending behavior and the impact of parents during the opening of the 2025 school term from a sample group of 1,250 people nationwide between May 1-6, 2025. It was found that overall, for the opening of the 2025 school term, parents spent a total of 62,614 million baht, an increase of 3.8% from the previous year. More than 67% of parents stated that they had enough money to cover their children's expenses during the opening of the school term, while about 33% stated that they did not have enough.
